Usage-led guidance
Compare common array sizes, then let your electricity use and property guide the final design.
Like-for-like comparison only: the same panel wattage and panel count, the same inverter rating, the same battery capacity and a comparable installation scope in Canterbury, from a New Zealand company, on a current written quote, while stock lasts.
Supplied and installed. Prices are in NZD incl. GST and include the equipment listed — panels, hybrid inverter, mounting and cabling, plus the Cell-X W10.24a battery where shown — and standard installation in Canterbury by Cell-X Solar’s registered electricians. Site-specific extras (for example switchboard upgrades, difficult roof access or long cable runs) and any lines-company or meter costs are confirmed in your quote. Outside Canterbury, ask us for a quote. Planning guides only — not final recommendations or quotes. Final size depends on your bill, daytime use, roof space and orientation, shading, switchboard, future loads and local network requirements. Your tailored proposal will confirm inverter compatibility, equipment, price and GST, inclusions, exclusions and warranties.

Yes. If you have a current written quote from a New Zealand company for the same system installed in Canterbury — same panel wattage and count, same inverter rating, same battery capacity and a comparable installation scope — send it to us and we’ll beat it, while stock lasts.
Ask about your property →Yes, in Canterbury. Package prices include standard installation by Cell-X Solar’s registered electricians, who install, connect and certify the system. Any site-specific extras and lines-company or meter requirements are confirmed in your quote before you decide. Outside Canterbury, ask us about options for your area.
Ask about your property →Solar can reduce the electricity you buy from the grid by supplying some of your daytime use from your roof. The result depends on system size, roof orientation, shading, location, household usage, electricity tariffs and export rates, so savings should be estimated for your property rather than guaranteed.
Ask about your property →A battery can store surplus solar energy for use later, such as during the evening. It may also support selected backup loads when the system is designed for that purpose. The right capacity and backup scope depend on your usage pattern, goals, budget and chosen equipment.
Ask about your property →It may be possible, but an off-grid system needs detailed planning around daily and seasonal electricity use, peak loads, solar resource, battery capacity and a backup strategy. Cell-X would review the property and load profile before recommending an approach.
Ask about your property →Solar may suit farms with regular daytime electricity demand and suitable roof or ground space. The useful starting point is an operational load profile, followed by a review of the site, network requirements and any future equipment or storage plans.
Ask about your property →A business that uses electricity during daylight hours may be able to use more solar generation on site. Suitability depends on the load profile, available roof or land, tenancy, network requirements, future demand and the financial assumptions used in the proposal.
